The US has been very slow to adopt texting compared with the rest of the world for one simple reason – they didn’t offer it until 2004. Then, when they did, they weren’t compatible with each other (as ours weren’t when they first started).”

Unfortunately I don’t totally agree with the key point here. I would love to. But in some cases a strong concept will overcome bad usability. However uptake iot likely to be even higher when usability is high.
